  • Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance.
  • Perform data extraction, exploratory data analysis, processing of data and employ scaling and automation to data preparation techniques.
  • Help design and develop automated dashboards and reporting templates to connect insights to business decision-making and execution process.
  • Leverage advanced analytical techniques and statistical programming to solve business problems and incorporate machine learning to identify data patterns and trends where appropriate.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to present analyses and findings to management by effectively translating complex data into clear insights, opportunities, and tangible business recommendations.
  • Analyze historical data to identify trends and support decision making.
  • Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters.
  • Provide requirements to develop analytic capabilities, platforms, and pipelines.
  • Apply statistical or machine learning knowledge to specific business problems and data.
  • Build decision-making models and propose solutions for the business problem you defined.
  • Conduct written and verbal presentation to share insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication.
  • Utilize code (Python/R/SQL) for data analyzing and modeling algorithms.
  • Design, develop, and present strategic recommendations that directly address key business questions.
  • Conduct tracking and measurement of KPIs related to recommendations and socializes to the broader teams.
  • Display deep intellectual curiosity, creativity, and commitment to learning to solve critical business problems and push the boundary of our capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in business analytics and data science.
  • Related experience in a retail organization is a strong plus, however strategic consulting and analytics capabilities are core requirements.
  • Proficient with SQL (experience in Snowflake), Alteryx and Alteryx Server, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, R Shiny), and analytics tools.
  • Python or R strongly preferred.
  • Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain/present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, required due to the nature and level of interaction with senior management.
  • Must be self-driven and passionate about retail and must be customer centric.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
